After years of only being available overseas, the Audi TT RS and Audi RS3 sedan will be arriving in the United States this summer. Both of these vehicles are powered by 400-horsepower 5-cylinder engines and are sure to be a hit on any highway they roar down. Let’s explore what there is to know about the 2018 Audi TT RS and RS3 sedans.

Five Fast Facts About the TT RS and RS3

1. Distinctively Dynamic 5-cylinder Engines

Both the TT RS and RS3 are outfitted with Audi’s newest 2.5L TFSI® engine. This powerhouse produces a class leading output of 400 HP and delivers 354 lb.-ft. of torque for an incredible ride. The TT RS launches from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.6 seconds, and the RS3 sedan is right behind it at 3.9 seconds.

2. Choice Chassis and Suspension

Both models feature quattro® all-wheel drive as a standard feature and include an electrohydraulic multi-plate clutch that can send almost 100% of torque to the rear wheels for increased driving dynamics. The AWD system is fully integrated within a unique drive select system, allowing the driver to choose from four distinct driving modes: Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, and Individual. Each mode has its own settings for gear shifting, steering, throttle response, and damper control.

3. Sensational Exterior Styling

With the TT RS and RS3, Audi has produced cars that captivate at first glance. The TT RS keeps the lines of the original TT coupe while adding sporty elements that enhance its racing roots, such as its fixed rear wing spoiler and large oval tailpipes. The RS3 capitalizes on the already impressive look of the RS sedan family, but adds an aggressive, sporty edge, with wider front wheel arches and a rear spoiler lip. Both cars feature large front air intakes to cool the high-performance engine, and they both run on 19” five-arm design silver wheels.

4. Incredible Interior

Climbing into the cockpit of the TT RS or RS3 is like stepping into a work of art. The heated sport seats are upholstered in fine Nappa leather and embossed with the RS logo. Both are equipped with a three-spoke multifunction flat-bottom sport steering wheel with paddle shifters. Just behind the wheel is Audi’s virtual cockpit, a 12.3” display that provides a host of information, even letting you know when to shift in manual mode.

5. Amazing Amenities

The 2018 TT RS and RS3 have an array of available features to enhance the enjoyment of every ride. The optional MMI® Navigation Plus with MMI Touch acts like an Internet search engine, allowing for simple input of text. The available Bang & Olufsen® 12-speaker sound system turns your Audi into a virtual concert hall, and adding Audi connect® gives you access to a wealth of infotainment including streaming audio and Twitter alerts.
